And in recent months the stars have seemingly rekindled their love, spending Easter together in March in Miami. But a spokesperson for Hudson has refuted claims the star is engaged, telling UsMagazine.com, 'She's definitely not engaged. She's shooting a movie called Bride Wars, which explains the ring.'

Director Rob Cohen has criticized British actress Rachel Weisz for refusing to return for the third installment of the Mummy trilogy.The 37-year-old shot to international stardom after appearing in 1999's original movie, The Mummy. And despite appearing in 2001 follow-up The Mummy Returns, she turned down a role in the forthcoming sequel, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor--blaming the location for her decision. Her representative insisted the actress didn't feel comfortable spending five months shooting in China as her son Henry is not yet 2 years old. But the film's director Cohen claims she actually turned down the part because movie bosses had made her character too old. He tells Britain's Heat magazine, 'I got a very angry phone from her agent, saying she'll never play the mother of a 21-year-old. I said, 'OK, good, fine, bye.'' Weisz has been replaced by Maria Bello in The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, which is due for release later this year.

Funnyman Robin Williams has paid tribute to his estranged wife Marsha, thanking her for not turning their divorce battle into a messy and expensive affair. Williams and his soon-to-be ex filed for divorce in March, citing irreconcilable differences. And now the actor has gone public with his thoughts about the upcoming divorce battle. Speaking on Ellen DeGeneres' TV talk show on Tuesday, Williams said, 'I'm lucky... with someone like Marsha, and we have amazing kids and it's not a slash and burn. Obsessed Uma Thurman fan Jack Jordan has been found guilty of stalking and harassing the Hollywood star. The jury at New York's Manhattan Supreme Court delivered its verdict shortly before midday on Tuesday. Jordan, 37, was found guilty of fourth-degree stalking and one count of second-degree aggravated harassment. He was vindicated on two other aggravated harassment charges--but could still face jail time. Stalking can carry a 90-day sentence, and aggravated harassment can lead to 12 months behind bars, reports TMZ.com.

Rocker John Mayer has hinted that magazine reports claiming he is romancing Jennifer Aniston are true--and admits he loves the press attention he is getting as a result. The pair was snapped embracing on a Miami beach last week, prompting speculation they are an item. Mayer had refused to speak out about the rumors until Monday night--when he almost revealed all to reporters at New York's Costume Institute Gala. The 30-year-old said of the tabloid claims, 'You know what I did? I looked at it (the reports) and I said, 'That's about right.' What am I going to say, 'That's not me?'' Scarlett Johansson has announced her engagement to actor boyfriend Ryan Reynolds. The couple has been dating since February 2007, shortly after Reynolds broke off his engagement to singer Alanis Morissette. The actress's representative Marcel Pariseau confirmed the news to People.com, revealing, 'They're both thrilled.' Johansson, 23, and 31-year-old Reynolds will step out for the first time as husband-and-wife-to-be at New York's Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala on Monday night.

Uma Thurman took the stand and faced her accused stalker in Manhattan State Supreme Court on Thursday, calling her experiences with Jack Jordan a 'nightmare.' The actress, who stood trembling on the witness stand, admitted she was 'freaked out' when the accused allegedly delivered a card bearing a picture of an open grave and a man standing on the edge of a razor blade. Thurman said, 'It was like a nightmare. It was scary.' She recalled the disturbing note also featured the line 'My hands should be on your body at all times.' The Kill Bill star also told the court that when she called her parents, who testified in the case earlier this week, to alert them about what she had received, her father informed her that he had also received email messages from Jordan. Thurman said, 'I felt a stone drop in my stomach. The idea that this had a history made it even more terrifying.' The actress refused to look at Jordan, who is accused of trailing and attempting to contact Thurman from early 2005 until 2007, as she testified. He faces a year in jail if he's found guilty of stalking and aggravated harassment charges. The trial continues.

Australian actress Nicole Kidman is to play Dusty Springfield in a new biopic of the singer's life. The 40-year-old star will team up again with Michael Cunningham--who scripted her Oscar-winning performance in 2002's The Hours. The movie will chronicle Springfield's rise to fame in the 1960s and touch on her battles with alcohol, drugs and mental health problems before her death from breast cancer in 1999. Screenwriter Cunningham says, 'It will be the real Dusty, a great artist who no one knew what to do with. But she is going into history with the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.'
